The first of Meyer's non-Twilight novels. I have to say, as a fan of the Twilight series I expected a lot from this book and at first, I thought it would fall short. The first few chapters are very sci-fi which isn't to my taste however after that you're back to a good old love story a la Twilight, albeit with a Love Square rather than a Edward-Bella-Jacob triangle. Fantastic book with more examples of literary genius from Meyer.

As a huge fan of the Twilight series, I also had some very high expectations for this book. At first, I wasn't as in love with it as I was when I began reading the Twilight series. But before I knew it, I couldn't stop reading if I tried. I read multiple chapters every day and in school my friends could barely get a word in since I was so absorbed in the book. I would most definitely recommend this book to all Twilight fans and also any fans of love stories. This one doesn't disappoint and it makes you sympathize deeply with each character. A great read for anytime of the year :)
