Easons is proud to support the Sightsavers Junior Painter of the Year Competition
The Sightsavers Junior Painter of the Year Competition was designed to encourage Irish children to appreciate the importance of their own sight and how difficult life can be for children who are needlessly blind around the world. Nearly 2500 school children around the country entered the first ever competition this year.
Children were asked to paint ‘The Sight I Would Most Like To See’ and winners painted a variety of colourful and inspired images from ‘An African Elephant’ to ‘My Dad’s Mammy’ and even ‘Love Hearts Falling from the Sky’.
An exhibition of paintings will be displayed in Airfield House in Dundrum from Wednesday 10th February to Saturday 20th February 2010. www.sightsavers.ie/What-You-Can-Do/Junior-Painter
