Fantasy romance

Fantasy Romance is a subgenre of fantasy fiction which usually combines a romantic subplot with a main plot that follows fantasy conventions such as imaginative storylines that include elements like magic, magical creatures, other realms or invented worlds and so on. 'Romantic fantasy' can be distinguished from 'fantasy romance' as the magical elements and non-romantic storyline dominates. Popular authors writing romantic fantasy include Sarah J. Maas, Cassandra Clare and Scarlett St. Clair.
